so apparently i will be in summer school this summer.
a. it turns out the astronomy i have been taking is not "intro to..." but rather, "astronomy for majors"
b. i got a 50 on the first test
c. have no desire to distract myself from more important things in order to just pass the class.

so i've got some hardcore revising to do before i'm even considering it a first draft ...but i am handing it ot Ann and Stacy today.
my thesis chapter on a man of no importance...a lot got done this weekend.

I got all my grades back--All A's with a B in Shakespeare. I knew I had a B earlier in the semester (thanks to my refusal to say anything in class), but my final paper was pretty amazing, and given that he also curves, I expected an A. So I emailed the professor to say WTF
he wrote back saying that my paper, he agreed, was amazing, but that it didn't respond to the topic assigned. whatevs.
he emailed me back a couple hours agao (again), offering me the chance to revise it.
i mean, i probably will, but I'm super annoyed.
like, im having a hard time doing my research on musicals right now...and unlike Shakespeare, i LIKE those.
ugh.

My music selection just hasn't been doing it for me as of late. My music library is largely comprised of showtunes, 80s music, and lesbian folk singers. I don't necessarily need music from outside of these genres, but do send any recommendations/new discoveries my way...I'm looking to expand!

SO the theatre department chair can go fuck himself. he denied my petition, and if i dont get this resolved, i am going to graduate wihtout a degree in theatre. it'll suck, but i am NOT staying in school next fall to take one god damn class. It'll possilby get resolved, but i am beyond annoyed.

hello floridians--i'm coming home this saturday for a lovely 9-day stay!
while the list of things I have to do over the break may not seem like i'll have time to play...trust me...i'll make time.
1. eat fried foods with jessica blosil
2. read 2 chapters of thesis research/day (one on musicals, one on affect)
3. revise conference paper
4. write program note for assassins
5. write pop culture blog entry on Brothers and Sisters
6. Finish unit in online gov, review for exam
7. Revise thesis proposal
ohh also, i am coming to NYC from Jan 4-12, where I will be staying with the lovely Jessica Stevens. I have research to do, but I also have drinks to drink, theater to see, and alleys to explore...so do join in!
